SEMESTER 6

Architectural Design Project
(PRJ60408)

Ar. Prince Favis Isip

This capstone project is based on the theme ‘architecture with an impact’ and the formulation of an architectural intervention that embodies sensitivity in the meditation between architecture and socio-cultural needs, the designs of internal spaces, and the demands of the external constraints. Progressing from the previous studio where it focused on urban streets, this semester, aims to empower the urban fabric by focusing on the needs and aspirations of the place and its people in relation to the current times. The project focuses on real-life and relevant issues which allow students to not only understand but immerse themselves in the significance of their design approaches. Hence, learn the impact of their work on social, cultural, and environmental aspects.

INTEGRATED PROJECT
(ARC60904)

Ar. Nurul Alia Ahamad

In this module, students will learn about organization structures in a construction project as well as roles and responsibilities of all parties in the project. This module will expose students to the principles, techniques and managerial issues, which form the process of project management relevant for architecture profession. It also highlights the documentation process required in a project especially for authority’s approval. The area of study will also make considerable reference to other fields of commercial and business activity to emphasize the broad applicability of the principles.

IT APPLICATION FOR SUSTAINABLE DESIGN (ARC62004)

Ts. Khairool Aizat Ahmad Jamal

The module aims to develop student’s understanding and awareness of the latest trends in sustainable design and construction industry namely Building Information Modelling (BIM). The contents of this module would develop students’ understanding of applications and research of Building Information Modeling (BIM) in the context of Architecture, Engineering & Construction (AEC) thus embracing sustainability in design project delivery and management. Moreover, students are expected to utilize the BIM modelling tools to generate an information-centric building model which would then be conducted to perform building performance analysis as one of the components.
